Fun Skype Date

Ember and I got to Skype with Ally and Ryken and it was lots of fun to see each other and the kiddos. 

Ryken and Ember both kept turning their heads sideways and looking at each other. I was pretty adorable.

We've got a little mover on our hands....

Ember made huge leaps and bounds this week in getting closer to crawling. She is trying really hard and wants to but just doesn't quite have it yet. But it sure is fun to watch her learn.

She scooted all the way from the rug backwards across the floor

She now tries to crawl and grab things under the coffee table

She can easily get up on her hands and knees and rock back and forth

Trying to crawl and move everywhere is hard hard work and Ember took a little nap on her daddy's chest



My First Mother's Day

It was my very first mother's day and it was so much FUN!

We started off by going to Wildflower Bread Company for a delicious breakfast and I got a free loaf of bread.

Later I got a Starbucks Frappachino during Frappy Hour (1/2 price drinks)

Dustin's dad had a special dinner planned for us at their house - crab legs and steak! It was fun to watch them be made and it was also fun to eat them. Delicous!

The weather was perfect so we hung out and ate dinner outside.

For dessert, we had coconut water popsicles.

I felt very special today and cannot wait for many more mother's days to come! :)



Kite Festival

There was a kite festival at Fox Glen Park down the road from our house. We walked down there to enjoy the nice weather and kites flying.



Ember's 1st Rice Cereal

We gave Ember her first rice cereal and she LOVED it! And she has continued to love it up until this point.

Dustin turns 32!!

We had a Cinco De Mayo birthday celebration at Dustin's parents house on Sunday. Then we made T-bone steaks at our house on Wednesday to celebrate as well. I surprised Dustin by picking up some beers for him from his dad's store! Both dinner's were fabulous and we are still going to get Sushi soon to celebrate with Joey and Rachael.

On May 4th Chris and Michelle were married at Power Ranch. It was a beautiful wedding with a reception in the "barn." There was wood fired pizza, Olive Garden salad and bread sticks, and a photo booth for entertainment.
