Addilyn's 1st Birthday Princess Party

Addilyn turned 1 and we got to celebrate with her!

Here is the big 1 year old!

Ember had a fun time watching all of the commotion and playing on the floor. Mommy and daddy had fun eating delicious food and drinking blended frozen mochas. It was a good time for all!



Fun Skype Date

Ember and I got to Skype with Ally and Ryken and it was lots of fun to see each other and the kiddos. 

Ryken and Ember both kept turning their heads sideways and looking at each other. I was pretty adorable.

We've got a little mover on our hands....

Ember made huge leaps and bounds this week in getting closer to crawling. She is trying really hard and wants to but just doesn't quite have it yet. But it sure is fun to watch her learn.

She scooted all the way from the rug backwards across the floor

She now tries to crawl and grab things under the coffee table

She can easily get up on her hands and knees and rock back and forth

Trying to crawl and move everywhere is hard hard work and Ember took a little nap on her daddy's chest



My First Mother's Day

It was my very first mother's day and it was so much FUN!

We started off by going to Wildflower Bread Company for a delicious breakfast and I got a free loaf of bread.

Later I got a Starbucks Frappachino during Frappy Hour (1/2 price drinks)

Dustin's dad had a special dinner planned for us at their house - crab legs and steak! It was fun to watch them be made and it was also fun to eat them. Delicous!

The weather was perfect so we hung out and ate dinner outside.

For dessert, we had coconut water popsicles.

I felt very special today and cannot wait for many more mother's days to come! :)



Kite Festival

There was a kite festival at Fox Glen Park down the road from our house. We walked down there to enjoy the nice weather and kites flying.



Ember's 1st Rice Cereal

We gave Ember her first rice cereal and she LOVED it! And she has continued to love it up until this point.

Dustin turns 32!!

We had a Cinco De Mayo birthday celebration at Dustin's parents house on Sunday. Then we made T-bone steaks at our house on Wednesday to celebrate as well. I surprised Dustin by picking up some beers for him from his dad's store! Both dinner's were fabulous and we are still going to get Sushi soon to celebrate with Joey and Rachael.

Mr. and Mrs. Chris Kuzdas

On May 4th Chris and Michelle were married at Power Ranch. It was a beautiful wedding with a reception in the "barn." There was wood fired pizza, Olive Garden salad and bread sticks, and a photo booth for entertainment.



6 Months Old!!

Ember is changing and changing constantly. It is almost as if she figures out how to do something new every day. She is sitting by herself very well now. She still falls over some but we think it is purposeful or when she is leaning over to get a toy just out of her reach. Ember switched to level 3 bottle nipples this month and now chugs her bottles down. She got to sit in her booster seat for the first time and loved it. She banged her hands on the tray and threw her toys off of it. We wanted her to have a chance to sit in her booster seat before she actually ate so there was not too many new things going on at once. Ember got to go to Phoenix a few times this month. She did a good job in the car cooing and playing until she fell asleep. Ember seems to respond to her name now. She is always looking for us when we talk to her or walk into the room and she starts smiling and kicking like crazy out of excitement. She loves playing in her crib before falling asleep or after waking up in the morning while waiting for us to get her. Ember upgraded to size 2 diapers this month and they look very large on her compared to her size 1 diapers. She still has no teeth that have popped through but is constantly putting things in her mouth still. She LOVES her bouncer and jumps up and down and side to side in it excitedly when we put her in it. Her feet look so silly when she is bouncing - almost as if she is doing a river dance :) Now, when we have her stand in our laps she starts bouncing in our laps as well. She grabs at everything - the phone, the computer, my face, jewlery, toys, food, and almost everything else. She pulls her socks and headbands off now and smiles every time she sees Maci, Daisy, or Bella. We fall in love with our little sweetie more and more every day. And I cannot count how many times a week we say "how cute is she." We are smitten and loving every moment of it!

4 years!

On our actual 4 year wedding anniversary we watched our wedding video, had a nice homemade video, and then went to Cultured for the first time! It was delicous and fun!
