MACI TURNS 2!!
We had a birthday party for Maci and Daisy!! We know we are a little nerdy and cheesy - and that is why we didn't invite anyone else to the party :) It was a fun night!! (Probably more so for us than the pups!)
I made these hats just for the special occasion! It was harder than I thought it would be! They were both really good sports about it!
The puppies got two things of treats that they could split! Plus later, Grandma Vicki (Rachael's mom) gave them both a little stretch and squeak toy!
Here is Maci posing in her backyard with her party hat! :)
(Ally - it is a good thing you are having a baby so you don't resort to having
birthday parties for your pets!! Ha ha!! )

Valentine's Day 2012
I decided to make some heart cookies for my coworkers and our student teachers at Sinagua. They were so good! Everyone loved them!
I came home after work on Valentine's Day to find TWO pots of beautiful tulips on the table and a card from my baby!! I made our Pistachio Baked Salmon (the meal Dustin made me for our first Valentine's Day together) and we had some wine! It was so good!
Dustin and I finished off the night by going to Dairy Queen and getting a delicious Blizzard!! YUMM!!!
Superbowl Sunday
We went to Jeff and Aleecia's to watch the big game! Here are the snacks and treats that I slaved over to take to share :)

Marvelous Mazatlan Getaway
Here are the pictures of the Mardisol Beach Club Resort (aka Holiday Inn Sunspree) that Dustin and I were lucky enough to stay in!
SATURDAY
This was a studio sized room but we were very impressed with the size of it!
Left: This is looking from the window at the little kitchen area.
Right: Our good sized balcony perfect for watching the ocean and sunsets
The chairs to the right of the resort! The island in the distance is called Bird Island.
Left: Looking back at our resort. Our room was on the 5th floor.
Right: Oasis Restaurant and Bar and the swim up bar
The Infinity pool going out to the ocean!
Dustin and I started our trip with a walk along the beautiful beach! We saw horses and someone had sculpted Merry Christmas in Spanish in the sand!
Dustin and I watching our first beautiful sunset from our balcony!
SUNDAY
Can't complain about this view while relaxing and reading books!
Dustin and I ready to go for dinner!!
After our Christmas dinner at a restaurant called Los Archos - the waiters gave me a real rose with the bill!
MONDAY
On our way to dinner!
My first shot that was free at what ended up being our FAVORITE restaurant - PANCHOS!
TUESDAY
Dustin and I on the boat on the way to Stone Island!
On the way to the island we saw caves, a sea lion swimming in the water, and these mini islands caked with bird poop!
This is what was used to transport us from the boat to the beach where we ate and did the activities.
Here is Dustin and I riding the horses around the island!
WEDNESDAY
Dustin and I took a morning beach walk and found this pier that had once had grass and plants all the way down it! It was very unique. And we found some crab friends as well by the water!
Our resort elevator had glass on the top - we of course had fun with this!
Panchos dinner #2 - just as good as the first!
And look at the sunset we saw! GORGEOUS!
THURSDAY
Amazing breakfast at Panama Bread! I had apple cinnamon French toast and Dustin had strawberry! It was SO SO good!!
For dinner we went to Gus & Gus and had the restaurant to ourselves pretty much! Dustin had "In Love Octopus" and I had a Ceasar Salad with shrimp! Very good!
Sunset picture walking home!
FRIDAY
Hanging by the resort sitting on the retaining wall people and ocean watching :)
A fog came through and covered the island! And we also got to see alot of people para-sailing over the ocean and island fog!
Pancho Dinner #3 where we had the most AMAZING coconut shrimp!!
SATURDAY
OUR LAST LITTLE BIT AT THE BEACH!!
