Kayser Christmas Party!

The Kayser family hosted a Christmas Party with a White Elephant Gift Exchange and holiday snacks! We only knew Mike and Katie but it was fun getting to know some of the other people that go to their church! The invitation said to dress festive - we took that as silly... but we were the only ones ;)

(Dustin is Santa in normal day clothes, I am an Elf, and Ember is a baby snowwoman!)

O Christmas Tree

WE GOT OUR CHRISTMAS TREE THIS YEAR!

Dustin and I's Christmas present to each other last year was supposed to be a Christmas tree so we had more than a little 3.5 ft potted entrance way tree! Christmas trees never went on sale like we were hoping so we got one this year! It is a 9 ft. Alexander Fur and we LOVE it so far! It is the perfect (with a slight bend of the top) fit for our place and looks very nice! Here are some pictures of the steps of putting it up!

Tis the Season to Be CRAFTY!

Ah... Christmas decorating! So much fun! And even more fun with Pinterest in the picture! Here are some pictures of some of the Christmas decorations I made this year...crafty crafty!

Christmas Card Holder (I LOVE THIS!)

Silhouette Nativity Scene

Ornament Filled Lantern

(I did NOT make the stockings ... but they are NEW)

Different textured little Christmas trees

(Ally - I still have yet to make that candy cane wreath from last year! I think I am just used to the stuff sitting in our room now that I don't notice it... haha!)

Thanksgiving Weekend

How blessed we were this Thanksgiving weekend to get to spend it with ALL of both families! We started off in Mesa with the Flin grandparents and the Brucks in town and then headed to Mexico where all the Evans family was. Here are just a few highlights of the trip that was very action packed and full of fun activities!

The Brucks and us arrived to Gma and Gpa Flins on Friday night and just caught up a little before all going to bed after a long day!

On Saturday, Ally was so kind to take some Christmas card pictures of our family. Here are just a few :)

We celebrated Thanksgiving dinner with our family today since we were all here but would not all be in Mesa for actual Thanksgiving.

Dad/Grandpa carving the turkey!

Ally made these adorable little place setting cards for everyone - so crafty, she is!

The cousins enjoyed playing outside and with each other! Ryken also loved Maci! And of course grandma and grandpa loved it all as well

On Sunday after church, we got some really good family pictures! These never get old :)

And YUM YUM YUM! We had Texas Road House take out for lunch! So delicious!!! (as always)

Monday night we were able to throw Ally a "surprise" baby shower for her new little girl that is coming! Jenn was kind enough to host us at her beautiful house.

It was so wonderful to get to hang out with Jenn and Steph whom we have been friends with since we were babies! And now we all have babies - wow, how the times have changed!

Tuesday morning we hung out again since the kids were not with us on Monday night. This was the best picture we could get of all of us! Pretty good for 5 little ones :)

Tuesday afternoon  Jed and Alma came over. Grandma wanted to make stepping stones with her two grandkids hand and foot prints in them! Great idea - not so great process. Both Ember and Ryken hated it but the stones still turned out really nice!

We had a wonderful time in Mesa!! On Wednesday, Ember and I met up with Dustin and headed down to Mexico for the second part of our trip :)

Beautiful as always!

Started Thanksgiving off with a morning stretch!

Then played some beach volleyball once the tide went out

Dinner time!!

On the last day, there was a HUGE flock of birds having a feeding frenzy. It was so cool to watch!

Very THANKFUL for our wonderful vacation and time with family!
