Kade's 1st Birthday Fiesta!

Kade and Jaxon's 1st Birthday Fiesta!!

We had so much fun celebrating these two sweet boys together with family and friends! The party was a little early for Kade but he didn't care! :)

We had a taco bar, "burro" rides, a pinata, the most adorable sugar cookies and a smash cake, of course!

I am so glad that Kade came around in terms of his sombrero. The pictures wouldn't have been quite as good if he looked like he did the first time we tried it on him in the pictures!

Kade - 11 Months Old

Ahh! 11 months old! Only one more month to go till a year old! Time is flying by too fast with this sweet boy at such a fun age!

Kade weighs around 16 lbs 4 oz and is 26 3/4 inches long. He is still sleeping in the office at night and in a pack n' play in our room for naps but he just started SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT! Hooray! He goes to bed between 7:00-8:00 and wakes up between 6:30-7:30 usually. He is also in the process of transitioning from taking two naps a day to taking only one longer nap a day. He switches back and forth between the two right now. Kade wears size 3 diapers still and is in mostly 6-12 month clothes with still a few 3 month size pants since he is still pretty tiny. Kade got 3 more teeth this past month and thankfully was as happy as ever during the process of those coming in. People comment all the time about his teeth and he loves doing a silly, cheesy smile and showing them off.

Kade spends most of his day crawling around and exploring his surroundings, playing with toys, carrying household objects around, and "playing" with anyone who will give him attention or is sitting or laying on the floor. He loves climbing any of us like a jungle gym or having us hold him up in the standing position. He is constantly pulling up on everything and walking around things while holding on. He loves being outside and has done very well on multiple hikes we have taken this past month. He loves taking his hat off when he is in the Ergo and just randomly talking as we hike. He really likes playing in water as long as it is not splashing him outside of his control. He loves water tables and he likes being in the pool. Kade continues to love eating. He prefers pouches and finger foods to being spoon fed purees. His favorite foods are banana, grapes, cherries, roasted carrots, sweet potato fries, tater tots, veggie straws and turkey burger. Kade also still really likes loud noises and vibrating things. He loves the electric foam roller when that is on. He crawls to find the vacuum or my blow dryer and he holds out an "ahhh" noise on bumpy roads. Kade's current favorite toys are the water table, a little squirting bath toy ball, the bin of kitchen toys, cardboard boxes. He loves playing peek-a-boo, having people jump and land on their tummy's on the bed while he is watching, and pulling the kitchen towels down from the oven rack.

Kade still doesn't always like to be changed or be put into his car seat. He is also getting to the age where he gets mad if you take something from him that he was chewing on or try to stop him from doing something that isn't safe. Other than that he is such a go with the flow, down for anything kind of kid.

Kade has learned a few more things this month. He has learned to climb stairs and tries to anything we forget to lose the gate at the bottom of the stairs. He has learned how to get snacks out of his snack catcher. Kade also has learned to put his hands up above his head when asked "how big is Kade?" He is learning more and more sounds and enjoys singing, talking, and babbling.

There have been a few more firsts this month for Mr. Kade. He went in the Kelty carrier (kindly given to us by friends) for the first time. He played in a water table for the first time. Kade watched his first soccer game and 4th of July parade. He also got to see his first fireworks which I am pretty sure he did not move or blink once during. He tried a few new foods such as apricot, grapes, cheese, egg yolk, hamburger and cheerios. He went camping for the first time and to Summit Gymnastics for the first time.

It has been a busy summer month with lots of activities and days where we are constantly on the go. Kade has done exceedingly well with keeping up with us all and has enjoyed all the outdoor adventures. We are daily thankful for Kade being a part of our family!

Kade - 10 Months Old

Our sweet, little Kade baby is 10 months old!

Kade weighs about 16 lbs and is 26 inches long. We moved Kade into a pack n' play in the office at night for sleeping and he was only waking up one time for a while but then he got some boogers and started waking up 1-2 times a night. Kade is still napping in our room and almost always takes only 2 naps a day now. He goes to bed between 7:00-8:00 pm and wakes up between 5:00-7:00 in the morning. Kade is still in size 3 diapers and mostly 6-9 month shirts and 3-6 month pants. Kade has 4 teeth right now and looks like a hippo or a vampire because his top incisors came in before his top middle teeth.

Kade is a mover and a shaker versus a sit and cuddle kind of boy so far. He crawls around and around everywhere and now pulls up and walks along things constantly as well. We have to keep things off the floor and low tables because he will get to it and grab it very quickly. He loves to talk and be apart of the noise going on in the house. He loves when his brother and sister get up in the morning or from quiet time. He loves following them around and playing with what they usually so graciously give him to explore. Kade loves being outdoors with this nice weather. He loves going on walks in the stroller or being in the Ergo. He talks and coos as we walk around. He also likes just sitting in the grass or on a blanket and watching what is going on. We also put him in his bouncer outside a lot when everyone is out there and he happily jumps around while watching the action. Kade still really loves to eat. He is starting to want finger foods more than pureed food and is doing well with it. He loves almost any kind of roasted vegetable. He loves bananas, mango, pears, puffs, veggie straws. and he is always up for trying something new. Kade still loves baths but is always trying to stand while in it. He likes water in general and enjoys splashing around in the pool as well. Kade's current favorite toys are his activity cube, his rings that form a long string or break apart, anything the big kids are playing with, and Beat Bo when it is turned on. He is turning into such a big boy and will crawl into the office and pull out a bin of toys all by himself and just play. He continues to like cardboard boxes to crawl into and stand up on. Kade loves when someone sings to him or tickles him. He still really enjoys loud noises and has grown fond of getting his nose cleaned out with saline and the Nosa Frida.

This little mover isn't a fan of being put in the carseat or getting his diaper or clothes changed because it requires staying in one spot. He has had some boogers for a lot of the past month from a combo of sickness, teething, and possible allergies and doesn't enjoy getting his nose wiped multiple times a day.

Kade has learned a few new things this month. He is getting better and better at standing and walking along things. Kade is also getting more and more sounds in his vocabulary. He says "mama," "dada," "ba," and even "hi" pretty clearly and on command or while imitating someone. Kade has learned to clap this month as well and does so whenever someone else claps or says "yay."

Kade has had a few more firsts this month as well. He has tried some new foods: chicken, mango, spinach, turkey, and veggie straws. And he doesn't sleep in the same room as us anymore at night.

We continue to enjoy every minute and day with Kade as he is just such a lovely baby. We thank God for his laid back spirit and fun personality often!

Here are a few more pictures of this cutie pie!

Kade - 9 Months Old

Kade is 9 months old! 3/4 of a year old! AHH!

Kade is about 15 1/2 lbs and 25 inches long. Kade is sleeping in our room still for naps and at night in his pack n play. For some reason, he has been waking up 2-3 times during the night this past month. He more and more often can get away with only 2 naps per day. He has been waking up between 5:00-7:00 am and still goes to bed around 7:00-7:30 at night. Kade is now in size 3 diapers. And he is in mostly 3-6 month clothes with a few exceptions of some pants that are still 0-3 months and a shirt that is 9 months.

This little boy loves to constantly be moving and exploring anywhere and everywhere he can get to. He has mastered crawling on his hands and knees and goes from room to room following the action or checking out what new exciting thing he can find to play with. He loves pulling up on EVERYTHING with his favorites being the fireplace, cardboard boxes, his activity cube, the sliding glass door, beds, and the couches. You can tell he is so proud of himself when he gets himself standing. One of his current favorite things is to scrunch up his nose and eyes and make a sniffing sound through his nose. He does this if anyone does it to him, if he sees himself in a mirror or the phone camera, when he is excited, and right when he first sees me in the morning. It is a a real crack up. Kade is continuing to love eating and is getting more and more coordinated. His favorite foods are banana, pear, applesauce, carrots, sweet potato, and puffs. He still really enjoys taking baths and has started to really enjoy being in the pool as well. He will splash around and talk or shriek when in the pool. He loves when his sister and brother play with him by holding him in the seated position and rocking him backwards or setting up little block towers for him to crawl over to and knock down. Kade is ticklish on his tummy and even more so on his neck. We can almost always get some good laughs and giggles when we tickle him in those spots. Kade continues to enjoy stroller rides and being in the Ergo facing outwards. He likes being outside in general and does really well being on the go. He is constantly trying to eat grass, rocks, wood chips, and pine needles. Kade's current favorite toys are his activity cube, cardboard boxes, Sophie, and his socks. He loves crawling around with toys and then putting them up on things he is standing on or giving them to someone. Kade still loves load noises and crawls toward or starts cooing when he hears the vacuum, blender, or blow dryer.

Kade is at the age where he is not a fan of being put into his car seat. He cries almost every time but than thankfully is happy and talking while he is in it. He also isn't a big fan of diaper changes unless I am tickling him or singing to him. He also has cried a few times when we take something away for him that he wants to be eating that isn't safe for him to be eating.

During this month Kade has learned a few new tricks. He has learned how to get Puffs and other small objects into his mouth while eating. Kade mastered crawling on all fours instead of army crawling everywhere. He can pull up on most things that he can reach and can even hold on with only one hand. Kade has also started walking along the side of an object while holding on. He is too little to be doing such "big boy" things.

There have also been some more firsts this month for Kade. He got to celebrate his first Easter Resurrection Sunday. Kade tried many new foods such as oats, green beans, puffs, beets, white potatoes, watermelon, and kale. He took a bath in the big bathtub without his baby tub for the first time. And he is now part of a family that runs and owns a laundromat :)

Kade continues to be such an easy going, happy little guy, He truly is the perfect third baby for our family. We all continue to laugh at and love on him more and more daily! We love you Kade!
