Easter Weekend!

In order to send family a card, we took a few pictures of Ember in her Easter outfit with a sign!

Here are a few of my favorites!

To celebrate Good Friday, we made a "stain glass" tissue paper cross!

On Saturday. Ember went on her first Easter Egg hunt and loved it. She knew exactly what to do and seemed to really enjoy it!

Then we went inside and opened the eggs up to find sparkly stickers and spiky rubber balls.

We started Easter/ Resurrection Sunday morning off with a delicious breakfast and then Ember got to open her Easter basket.

We celebrated our Risen Savior with the body of believers and went to Dustin's parents house for dinner and to celebrate with them as well. They had a few hard boiled colored eggs for Ember to search for and we got a few nice family pictures!

So thankful for our family and even more thankful for our Risen Savior. May we not just be thankful and in remembrance this weekend but ALWAYS!

Going Away Party

Some of the clients from HAPT volunteered to throw and cook for a going away party for Brent (and Megan before she left early). We were at a beautiful house and the brother of the home owner is a chef for some of the nicer restaurants in town. They got a whole pig from Tuscon and roasted it in a wood crate for over a day. It looks a little creepy.... but it tasted amazing! And it was fun to celebrate Brent and the contribution he has made to HAPT!

We also stopped by another clients house on the way to the party and Ember got to see real live horses! She was a little unsure about them since they were so big but she heard them neigh and did pet this horse (Q) once.

And Then There Were 2!!

One of the new employees for High Altitude Personal Training is one of our good friends - Julianne (Rachael's twin sister). She has a precious little 9 month old girl named Emmerson who we are going to be watching for 5-8 hours on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday! She is a cutie and Ember loves (most of the time) having an extra baby around!

And here is Ember with the neighbor girl Evelyn (Evi) who is only about a month older than her! We watched her for a few hours while her parents had an errand to run.

Pre Anniversary Date

One of Dustin's clients gave him 2 free tickets to the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra and we got a gift card for Christmas to a nice restaurant in town called The Cottage Place! We decided to make a date out of it and do a pre celebration of our 5 year anniversary!

The restaurant was amazing. We got a 6 course meal (small portions) that all went together by flavor and taste and they gave us some wine pairings too! It was really delicious!

And we LOVED the symphony more than the last time we went because this one was called "Jeans and Classics" and had singers singing along to classic songs as the symphony played! We would love to see "Jeans and Classics" again someday! :)

It was a great evening and our good friends were kind enough to watch Ember for us for the night! Cannot believe we are almost at 5 years!! :) Crazy!!

17 Month Happenings

Here are just a few random pictures of Ember at 17 months!!

Mother/Daughter Selfie :)

Ember playing with her daddy! She is really enjoying being upside down these days

As soon as Dustin gets the foam roller out at the gym to stretch and roll his legs out... Ember runs over and either foam rolls with him or climbs on top of him like a horsey!

Ember likes things in two! :)

Since Dustin has been working late 3 nights a week for the past few weeks, when he comes home and eats - Ember wants to climb up on his lap to sit with him before she goes to bed. So sweet how much she loves her Daddy!

Mexico in March

Another whole week vacation in a place where God's glory is so evident! We had a wonderful time as always. It was our family, Richard, Doreen, & Bella (all week), and Uncle Lee and his dog Casey (Thurs-Mon).

Exploring the coral

Ember decided that she LOVED the hammock this trip. She loved sitting, laying, and swinging in it

She also loved pulling all the rocks out of the rock bed onto the path. But she was always really good about cleaning them up too :)

Daddy helping Ember over the sand ridges

Sandcastle time!

She also LOVED running all over the sand!

Me and my baby girl!

Ember's 1st quad ride! She really seemed to enjoy it. We went nice and slow and she was just "singing" along as we went and making a "vroom vroom" sound

Panorama picture of a gorgeous sunset

I found this tiny sand dollar when I was cooling down from running on the beach. Ember found it later without our supervision and smashed it into a million pieces... but at least we got a picture first

Pig tails!

Bath time in the laundry room sink. She didn't seem to mind at all

While the boys were out picking up dinner to bring back one night, Doreen and I were watching the ocean bring this object in closer and closer. Once they got back, Richard went out and pulled it in. It was a turtle shell (with the flesh still inside of it) Doreen and I put it on a skim board and pulled it up by our stairs hoping an animal would eat out the insides so we could keep the shell. They didn't. But in the morning, the security guards came by and buried the turtle right by our stairs. I guess they didn't want us to have it :) Probably better that way because it was pretty stinky!

<3's

Little cutie!

Saying Goodbye :(

There were some of the highlights of our trip! We cannot wait to Lord willing go back in MAY!!
