Tis the Season to Be Jolly

Christmas decorations have hit our condo! We still are planning to get a bigger tree after the season to get it on clearance. But we have a few decorations up! I love the festive look

Hand made wreath on the front door

Small Christmas tree and Ember's 1st Christmas ornament in the nook

We put the village on our side table next to the front door window and dining room table. It looks great!

We got new snowman stocking holders and actually have a mantle this year (so exciting!!). We are going to get new stockings... but these hand painted ones from our 1st Christmas together work for now :)

Lastly, our little Christmas tree and the Christmas bear to decorate our entertainment center area

And we have Pandora Christmas on the computer most of the time and a Cinnamon Vanilla scent in our Scentsy :) It definitely is beginning to look alot like Christmas!

Ember's Shadow Box

Dustin actually had the idea of making a shadow box with some of Ember's newborn things in it... so I tackled this yesterday and am very pleased with how it turned out :)

It has her first hat from the hospital, her hospital bracelet, her October onesie from Aunt Ally, the picture I took of her in her owl hat, and 3 of her first roses she received in the hospital. FUN MEMORY!

Baby's First Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving down in PHX with the Evans side of the family for actual Thanksgiving and then to the the Flin side of the family after that. Ember did VERY good overall. Her schedule was definitely interrupted but she handled the flexibility well. She slept the whole time during both car rides and slept good both of her first nights away from home. Very blessed and thankful that her first outing went so well.

Ember in her dress ready for her first car ride to PHX (I love the little cross eyed look)

Uncle Jared and Ember - she woke up for him :)

We realized that Kiley had dressed herself to match me as close as possible. She curled her hair, wore stripes, and then put on black leggings later.

After taking a walk to get breakfast with Ryan, Molly, and the girls - we stopped by the Kuzdas house so Ember could meet Amber and Harper. It was fun to have all the baby girls together for the first time!

Then we drove to Grandma and Grandpa Flin's for the remainder of our PHX stay. We had delicious steaks and yummy pumpkin pie. We even got Starbucks in the morning! :)

Great Grandma and Grandpa Flin meeting Ember

Ember LOVES her daddy!!

Great Thanksgiving holiday and we cannot wait to see everyone again in a few weeks! (Only thing missing was the Brucks family)

Newborn Pictures

I had many many ideas and pictures that I wanted to try with Ember while she was just a wee little one. I got to try and do many of them! The others will just have to wait for another child. Enjoy the non professional newborn pics ;)

End it with a smile!! :)

0 Months

This is what Ember's monthly update picture is going to look like except when she is 1 month - there will be 1 balloon; when she is 2 months - there will be 2 balloons, etc. I am going to definitely need Dustin's help on these so she doesn't fall off :)

Ember's Many Firsts

Obviously any newborn experiences many firsts in the first few hours, days, and weeks of their lives. Here are a few documented in pictures :)

1st Bath

1st Time Skyping with Aunt Ally and Ryken

1st Time in Real Clothes

1st Time in Car Seat and 1st Car Ride

1st Bath at Home

1st Dr. Appointment

`1st Walk in Stroller

1st Moment without Umbilical Chord

1st Nap in Crib

1st Bath in Tub

1st Snow

That is just a few and she has SO MANY MORE TO GO! So exciting!
