Little America Lights

Since we were dating, Dustin and I have had a tradition of going and walking around and looking at the Christmas lights that they put up at Little America Hotel. This year was Ember's first year going and Grandma and Grandpa Flin got to go as well :)

Evans Elf Yourself

I loved when Chris did this in Mesa so much that I did it with our little family! FUN!

Here is the video of us elves dancing that I bought for $1 to save it! :)

Baby's First Christmas!

Started Christmas morning off at our house with some delicious coffee drinks and a few presents for Ember and Maci from the family Christmas party we were at.

Here are the two girls excitedly waiting by the Christmas tree

Ember was very very happy this morning!

All dressed up in her Christmas dress :) I LOVE THIS PIC

Ember with some of her presents!

Then we headed to Mima and Pappy's for Christmas gifts, Christmas movies, and a delicious prime rib dinner.  Here is a picture of Ember's stocking at their house. There is a Peaker Brownie on it.

Dustin and I by the new mantle full of stockings!

It was a GREAT Christmas! Just wish ALL family could have been together!

Catching up!

Wow! I haven't posted in a LONG while... :( Mesa visit with the Brucks was AMAZING but Ally did such a GREAT job posting about it that I am not going to :) Here are a few pictures of my little darling dear as she continues to GROW WAY TOO FAST! :)

Here is Ember all bundled up to take coffee to daddy at work :) She liked her warm cozy suit!

Ember picking her nose and wiping it on Maci :) They just get along swell...

Ember's new first love is her play gym! She moves her arms and kicks her little feet and makes all kinds of noises when she is under it and playing!

She is just now starting to be able to KINDA fit into 0-3 month clothes and 3 month clothes! This outfit is a little big but so so cute!

Finally, we are slowly trying to let Ember experiment with sleeping in her crib (naps only right now) without having to be swaddled. This day she took 3 naps without her swaddle. It hasn't happened since so I think she was just really tired :)

A few more firsts...

Ember started moving around in her crib. This picture (of the monitor) was the first time she turned sideways and now she does it almost every time! :) Silly little swaddle scooter.

Daddy got to feed Ember her first bottle. She ate about an ounce and then started fussing and wouldn't take any more. We tried again the next day and she ate about an ounce and a half before she didn't want any more. Hopefully she will get more and more used to it before I have to go back to work.

1 Month Old

We all made it to 1 month!! :) It has been a wonderful month! Here are her 1st month balloon pictures! Hard to take at 1 month old but I am very happy with how they turned out!

Ember is growing by leaps and bounds. It is amazing how quickly they go from being completely helpless to learning so much and being able to start doing things on their own. Ember eats about every 3 hours during the day. She is awake for about 1 1/2 hours and then takes about a 1 1/2 hour nap. She takes her naps and sleeps at night in her crib. For her naps, she falls right asleep usually when we swaddle her, lay her down, and turn on her Slumber Buddy. Around 5 pm each night is her fussy time. She cries off and on and fights sleep. We try to read her a story and rock her at bedtime. She wakes up about every 4-5 hours at night to eat and is very good at going right back to sleep. She is starting to get head control, she can turn to where a sound is, she tracks moving objects, and she is getting a strong little grasp. She is smiling, but not at us quite yet. She likes to coo and smack her lips together. She snorts alot when she cries and loves her singing stork that sits on her changing table. She loves baths, being on the changing table, and the Moby wrap. She isn't too fond of her car seat but will fall asleep in it fairly easy as long as the car keeps moving. She is a great eater and is growing quick. We cannot wait to see what will happen in this next month.

Tis the Season to Be Jolly

Christmas decorations have hit our condo! We still are planning to get a bigger tree after the season to get it on clearance. But we have a few decorations up! I love the festive look

Hand made wreath on the front door

Small Christmas tree and Ember's 1st Christmas ornament in the nook

We put the village on our side table next to the front door window and dining room table. It looks great!

We got new snowman stocking holders and actually have a mantle this year (so exciting!!). We are going to get new stockings... but these hand painted ones from our 1st Christmas together work for now :)

Lastly, our little Christmas tree and the Christmas bear to decorate our entertainment center area

And we have Pandora Christmas on the computer most of the time and a Cinnamon Vanilla scent in our Scentsy :) It definitely is beginning to look alot like Christmas!

Ember's Shadow Box

Dustin actually had the idea of making a shadow box with some of Ember's newborn things in it... so I tackled this yesterday and am very pleased with how it turned out :)

It has her first hat from the hospital, her hospital bracelet, her October onesie from Aunt Ally, the picture I took of her in her owl hat, and 3 of her first roses she received in the hospital. FUN MEMORY!

Baby's First Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving down in PHX with the Evans side of the family for actual Thanksgiving and then to the the Flin side of the family after that. Ember did VERY good overall. Her schedule was definitely interrupted but she handled the flexibility well. She slept the whole time during both car rides and slept good both of her first nights away from home. Very blessed and thankful that her first outing went so well.

Ember in her dress ready for her first car ride to PHX (I love the little cross eyed look)

Corbin meeting Ember for the first time

Mima and Pappy with all their grandchildren

Uncle Jared and Ember - she woke up for him :)

We realized that Kiley had dressed herself to match me as close as possible. She curled her hair, wore stripes, and then put on black leggings later.

After taking a walk to get breakfast with Ryan, Molly, and the girls - we stopped by the Kuzdas house so Ember could meet Amber and Harper. It was fun to have all the baby girls together for the first time!

Then we drove to Grandma and Grandpa Flin's for the remainder of our PHX stay. We had delicious steaks and yummy pumpkin pie. We even got Starbucks in the morning! :)

Great Grandma and Grandpa Flin meeting Ember

Ember LOVES her daddy!!

Great Thanksgiving holiday and we cannot wait to see everyone again in a few weeks! (Only thing missing was the Brucks family)

Newborn Pictures

I had many many ideas and pictures that I wanted to try with Ember while she was just a wee little one. I got to try and do many of them! The others will just have to wait for another child. Enjoy the non professional newborn pics ;)

End it with a smile!! :)
