Spring is in the Air!

I have been wanting to make a spring inspired door decoration to hang on our front door and this is what I came up with (with the help of Pinterest of course) :) It is not perfect but it makes me smile every time I see it as we get ready for spring time!

Puzzle Time

Dustin and I got another puzzle to work on. This one was of Time Square in New York and it was much easier than the other one we did in October so we finished it in about 2 days! It was fun!

The Life of a 4 Month Old

Here is what has been going on with Ember during her 4th month of life :)

She had a few visitors recently - Alli Hughes and Gpa & Gma Flin

Isn't it cute that Alli and Ember were both wearing stripes?? And Ember got to go to Yogurt U for her first time. She didn't like the care ride over but once we were there she was happy!

She is continuing to LOVE bath time! She is beginning to splish and splash around!

Ember got a new carrier with the money that Gpa & Gma Flin gave her for Valentine's Day... She loves it!

She has been working out at HAPT some more.....

... and getting so big and strong that she sat in her stroller for the first time and is getting so much better at holding her head up and getting closer to sitting supported without slumping over.

And she sure thinks she is pretty cute :)

And her mommy and daddy definitely agree with her on that!!

OUR NEW CAR!

FINALLY - here are the pictures of our new car. It is a 2005 Honda Pilot with about 88,000 miles on it. It has leather, heated seats, a sun roof, a running board, 4 wheel drive, and alot more room than the CRV. We love it already and are excited to actually get to drive it now that the title will be here this week! (Can you tell we like silver Hondas?)

Lost a Member of the Family

Yesterday (Saturday) Dustin decided that he wanted to post his Civic to Craigslist and start trying to sell it since the title for the Pilot should be here tomorrow (Monday). He cleaned it all up and made it spick and span clean and then put "For Sale" signs in the window and posted it on Craigslist. He did all of this about 1:00 pm. We had cash in our hands, a notorized title for the buyers, and the Civic driving away by 4:00 pm. Dustin said it was the fastest he has ever sold a car!

R.I.P. 1999 Civic :(
We will miss you! You were a GREAT car for 10 years!

Our In Home Theater

Dustin and I were bummed to miss the last Twilight Saga movie in the theater. So, it just came out in Redbox so we rented it, got the projector from HAPT, and made our own theater! It was good! Fun to finish off the series!

4 Months!

Here is what our little baby girl has been up to this month!

Anyone that has been around Ember more than a few minutes is aware that she is STILL a talker! She talks to anybody and everybody and then to herself if no one is listening. She learned how to hold on to and shake a rattle and her pink O-ball recently. She has found her two middle fingers and enjoys sucking on those while I am burping her, during naps, in the carseat, playing on her blanket... pretty much anywhere. She no longer needs to be swaddled or in her Wombie for nights or naps. At night, we still swaddle her lower body to keep her warm but she usually is out of the swaddle by morning. She has slept 7 hours straight a few times recently and seems to not be needing to eat at night quite as often. I usually have to get up and feed her once every night still. I truly cannot complain about this because she always goes right back to sleep after she eats. Ember got to celebrate her first Valentine's Day this year and enjoyed some extra cuddles from mom and dad and she got her very first flowers! Her daddy bought her Carnations for her first Valentine's Day. We have taken the newborn head support out of Ember's carseat so she has a little more wiggle room in there. Her neck strength is much better than it was last month so she has been enjoying playing in the bouncer she got from her cousin Corbin. Ember has found that she can pull her headbands off and has done that a couple of times. She also is watching her feet a little more closely and curiously. I am sure that in no time those cute little feet will be in her mouth :) She is much more aware of her surroundings in general and the pictures this month were hard to get her to look at me because she kept looking at Maci walking by or her feet. Ember got her first sickness this past month. She has been congested for the past 3 days and has a cough. Besides hearing the congestion, I would never guess that she is sick because she is eating well, sleeping wonderfully, and playing and talking as if nothing is wrong. She is a trooper! She managed to share her cold with me and I am not handling it quite as happily. Overall, Ember is a VERY content baby. She is good at playing by herself but loves when we hold, talk, and play with her as well. She continues to steal our hearts more and more every day! Happy 4 Months Ember!

Found her fingers!

Ember found her two middle fingers! And sucks on them ALOT! The good thing - it helps her self soothe. The bad thing - it may be hard to break later on! :)

Here are a few other recent pictures of the little sweet one!
She learned how to shake her rattle!

She still is loving her bouncer!

And, here she is waiting for the water to get warm for her bath! :) Such a happy girl even when she is sick!
